Clerkenwell Design Week is nearly here. Mark 21-23 May in your diary for a packed calender of exhibitions at iconic Clerkenwell spots the Farmiloe Building and Order of St John, as well as former underground prison, House of Detention.

Look out for Covered at Charterhouse, a new pavilion housing surface materials from carpets to ceilings. There'll also be talks from leading designers and industry figures, plus fringe events and food and drink from local hot spots. The neighborhood's leading showrooms,including Vitra, Knoll and Howe, are also opening their doors for Clerkenwell Design Week 2013.
