Open House London is back with its annual programme of exclusive weekend access to around 800 properties, including EC1's Golden Lane Estate (pictured).

You can see the original detailing in a maisonette within this 1950s brutalist public housing, which received listed status in 1997. Plan ahead online for the guided tours on 20-21 September. There are plenty of properties to choose from around Clerkenwell, including the Old Finsbury Town Hall, the Museum of the Order of St John and Sadler's Wells. Pre-booking is required for Crossrail Farringdon worksites in Farringdon Road. This year there's also the opportunity to look around the Leadenhall Building – aka The Cheesegrater – in the City.
