Clerkenwell's history is full of colourful characters; now some of them want to call you up.

Farringdon-based arts charity Sing London has matched writers and actors with London statues. Simply swipe your smartphone on a tag near the statues and they'll call you back. Jeremy Paxman defends free speech in the guise of radical MP and "ugliest man in England" John Wilkes (pictured) in Fetter Lane. And Alan Johnson, MP and author, voices the King Edward Street statue of Rowland Hill, who invented the Uniform Penny Post. Find more statues:
