Emily Jo Gibbs is a talented embroiderer whose work ranges from portraiture and still life to handbags.

Her latest exhibition at Craft Central (13-18 October) is called Kids Today: it’s a celebration of the children who play on her small cul-de-sac in south London. The kids took a break from riding their bikes and having water fights to pose at her kitchen table. She will also be exhibiting at Clerkenwell-based Etsy’s Four Corners of Craft exhibition at the Old Truman Brewery on 24-27 September, as part of the London Design Festival.
