THE RSC is staging a three-month residency at the Barbican to mark the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death.

King and Country: Shakespeare’s Great Cycle of Kings features David Tennant reprising the title role in Richard II (7-10 Jan), Antony Sher and Jasper Britton in Henry IV Parts I & II (12-29 December), and Alex Hassell (pictured) in the title role in Henry V (until 30 December). Alongside the theatrical productions, in January the Barbican will be running RSC Shakespeare on Screen, a film festival uncovering highlights from 50 years of Shakespeare in performance.
